Abstract

The lancet system (1) has at least one lancet with a lancet tip (2) enclosed by a sterile protection arrangement (5) consisting at least partly of a material tending to brittle failure. The sterile protection arrangement has preferred break points on the material tending to brittle failure and can be broken by the lancet tip at the preferred break points during a pricking process to expose the tip. An independent claim is also included for a pricking aid with at least one lancet system.
