Abstract
775,374. Heating air. WEATHERFOIL HEATING SYSTEMS, Ltd.. and FOWLER, L. J. Sept. 1, 1955 [Sept. 2, 1954], No. 25543/54. Class 64(3) In a space-heating apparatus in which an electrically driven fan 17 impels air over a battery of hot-water pipes 14 connected by pipes to a boiler 26, and through an outlet 16 into the space to be heated, the fan motor is controlled by two switches in parallel, one switch being controlled by a thermostatic device 36 in the hot-water circuit so as to close the fan motor circuit if the water becomes overheated after the other switch has stopped the fan. This other switch is operated manually or by a thermostatic element responsive to the temperature of the space to be heated. When the thermostatic device 36 re-starts the fan motor, it also closes a third switch which causes a damper 22 to open and allow the hot air air to escape into the space 50 instead of entering the space to be heated. The damper is moved by energizing a solenoid 24 or a stalling motor. Specification 758,919 is referred to.
