本発明はオートバイその他の自動2輪車における排気浄
化装置に関する。DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an exhaust purification device for motorcycles and other two-wheeled vehicles.
従来この種装置として、前後の車輪を有する車体の中間
部に、エンジンと該エンジンの排気通路に介入される排
気タービンを有するターボチャージャとを備えると共に
該排気通路に該タービンの下流側に位置して排気浄化用
の触媒を備える式のものは知られるが、この場合該排気
通路の該下流側に導かれる排気は該ターボチャージャの
過給作用により、多少ともその量が増大し、それに伴い
該触媒は多少とも大型であるを必要とし、かくてその大
型化によれば該2輪車はその運転性能を損い勝ちである
不都合を伴う。これを換言すれば、比較的大型の触媒は
、比較的大重量となるもので、これを該車体の中心軸線
上に配置することはスペース的に困難テあり、かくてこ
れをその−側又は他側に配置するときは重量バランスを
損うと共に左右のバンク角が減少する等の不都合を伴う
