Abstract
PURPOSE:To dispense with special hard constitution and to simply transmit measured and stored data to an external processing apparatus, by providing a mode selecting means for selecting a measuring mode and a transmission mode and using the photodetector and light emitter of a photoelectric sensor for detecting a pulse wave as a photodetector and light emitter for transmitting measured data in the transmission mode. CONSTITUTION:The mode selecting function of an MPU3 is constituted, for example, by connecting a measuring mode switch 51 and a transmission mode switch 52 to the MPU3. By the ON-operation of the transmission mode switch 52, a measuring mode is changed over to a transmission mode and a system wherein a pulse detecting measuring element, that is, a light emitter 21 is changed over to a measured data transmitting light emitter 21 (the measuring light emitter 21 is used as the transmitting light emitter 21) is employed. A transmission means 6 is the columnar body engaged with the cylindrical interior of a cuff 1, and a transmitting light emitter (light emitting diode) 61 and a photodetector (phototransistor) 62 are mounted to the proper places of the peripheral surface of said columnar body and, in such a state that the transmission means 6 is mounted in the cuff 1, the transmitting light emitting and receiving elements 61, 62 are set so as to be respectively positioned corresponding to the light receiving and emitting elements 22, 21 of the cuff 1.
